Shimano XT M755/756 Brake Pads Grimeca System 8.0+12, SRAM 9.0, Hope Mono M4 Sintered Brake Pads These sintered brake pads are a metallic compound providing better performance when riding in wet conditions and working more efficiently than Organic Pads at higher temperatures caused by heavy braking, making them ideal for riding downhill and enduro in the UK with its steep tracks and frequent rain.
Sintered brake pads will suit heavier riders as they wear down less quickly however the trade-off is they take longer to break in.

These organic pads will break in more quickly than the sintered compound pads and will offer more initial bite.
These pads transfer more heat to the rotor or disc than sintered pads under heavy braking, but are ideal for lighter riders or less demanding trails. Organic pads tend to be one the quietest compounds available.
