Shimano Saint M810 - M820 & Shimano Zee M640 Sintered Pads - Sintered pads are made from a metallic compound and typically offer better performance when riding in wet conditions and work more efficiently at higher temperatures than organic pads, ideal for UK downhill with steep tracks and frequent rain. Sintered brake pads suit heavier riders as they wear less quickly but will take longer to break in.

Shimano Saint M810 - M820 & Shimano Zee M640 Organic Pads - Organic pads are made from resin bonded fibres and are more suitable for XC riding where braking is less frequent and less heavy than downhill. These organic pads will break in more quickly than their sintered counterparts, and offer more initial bite under braking. These pads do not dissipate heat as well as sintered pads, and can cause rotors to heat up more quickly, but are ideal for lighter riders. Organic pads also tend to be the quietest compound available.
